How to Install yum-utils on CentOS 8

The yum-utils is an additional package of yum that provides a collection of utilities and commands to manipulate repositories and extended package management. Yum-utils can be installed from CentOS 8 default BaseOS repository. This article describe, How to Install yum-utils on CentOS 8.  

 

Yum-utils installation: Run the following command to install yum-utils package from CentOS 8 BaseOS repository:

 

[root@linuxcnf ~]# dnf install yum-utils …………………. Installed:   yum-utils-4.0.17-5.el8.noarch                                                        libmodulemd-2.9.4-2.el8.x86_64                                                         Complete!  [root@linuxcnf ~]#

Done!!! Package installation done, yum utils utilities and commands are available now.
