How to add Hibernate option to the Start Menu in Windows 10



By default the Hibernate option is not enabled in start menu power option. See the below screenshot:



Steps to setup:

To add Hibernate to Start menu Power option, first open search box and type power options. The first result should be a Control Panel setting of the Power options. Click on the power option setting. The new window will open as below:


In the new opened window of Control Panel for power options, click on the “choose what the power buttons do” from the left-hand navigation panel. The options will appear as below:



Then click on the link “Change settings that are currently unavailable” as showing in above screenshot and you will get other setting options as below:



Now scroll down to the bottom and The Shutdown options will become editable. Click the checkbox next to Hibernate and click on the “Save changes”.

That’s it now you will see the Hibernate option in start menu power options. Below screenshot for your reference:
